Bored Pile Casing Stuck or High Torque: Soil Friction, Extraction Problems and Lubrication
High casing torque or difficult extraction is not automatically a lubricant problem. Possible causes include soil friction, deep embedment, gravel/cobbles, misalignment, wall collapse, trapped material, insufficient overcut and concrete timing.
Separate installation from extraction
High installation torque, pre-concrete extraction resistance and extraction during concreting have different risk profiles. During concrete placement, cage stability, concrete head, workability and setting time become structural quality issues.
Check mechanical causes first
Review alignment, cutting shoe/overcut, obstruction, spoil accumulation and equipment capacity before adding chemistry.
Sticky clay
If sticky/reactive clay is driving drag, control the clay and solids problem first with the appropriate polymer/inhibition system.
Where MUDOLUBE fits
MUDOLUBE may be evaluated when the excavation is stable and clean, no major obstruction is present and residual friction remains genuinely limiting. Compatibility with the active support fluid and project concrete-contact rules should be verified.
Conditional lubrication
MUDOLUBE is a friction tool, not a support-fluid stabilizer or universal casing-release agent.
