Bored Pile Slurry Log Sheet: Daily QC Record for Bentonite and Polymer Slurry
A useful slurry log connects fluid measurements to depth, formation, sample location and treatment history.
Core fields
Project, pile ID, diameter, depth, rig, date, groundwater, slurry level and current formation.
Fluid fields
Product/system, batch, density, Marsh, pH, sand, temperature, time, sample depth and stage: fresh, working or pre-concrete.
Treatment fields
Record product, quantity, treated volume, reason, value before treatment and value after treatment. “Polymer added” is not a reproducible record.
Loss and replacement
Track make-up volume or m³/h loss, desanding, partial replacement and full replacement. Record recovered/rejected/reused volumes for project economics.
Final construction record
Include final depth, cleanout method, bottom condition, final representative slurry sample and project QC status before concrete.
Trend value
Project-level data can reveal density growth, product consumption per pile, loss-prone formations and the real cost of support-fluid management.
