Bored Pile Slurry Mixing Calculator: Tank Volume, Batch Size and Product Addition
The mixing calculation should use actual fluid volume, not nominal tank capacity.
Fresh powder batch
Product kg = actual m³ × approved kg/m³.
Fresh liquid batch
Product L = actual m³ × approved L/m³.
Known concentration increase
When the current effective concentration is genuinely known, additional product = V × (Ctarget − Ccurrent). Do not use this formula to treat dirty slurry where concentration cannot be inferred from a field number.
Clean-water top-up
If a known clean-water volume is added, the required product to maintain target treatment can be calculated from added water × approved concentration.
Dilution
For a clean known mixture, C1V1 = C2V2 can be used. Dilution is not the same as solids removal.
Plant capacity
Mixing capacity = batch volume ÷ cycle time. Compare fresh-slurry production rate with actual loss rate; if loss exceeds sustainable make-up capacity, chemistry alone is not an operating solution.
Batch calculations
Select the approved treatment externally, then calculate the actual quantity for the batch.
Batch Mixing Calculator
Only use concentration-correction calculations when the existing effective concentration is actually known. Dirty slurry should be diagnosed by solids/QC, not concentration arithmetic alone.
