VISPOL–PW POWDER is used in water-based drilling muds to prevent the dispersion of shale and clay cuttings and to maintain consistent hole diameter. VISPOL–PW POWDER prevents bit balling and provides lubricity along the drill string. Due to its high molecular weight, it may cause an instantaneous increase in viscosity. The polymer is sensitive to calcium contamination and high pH; therefore, the maximum calcium concentration should not exceed 400 ppm and the pH should not exceed 11.
