Lubetrol
LUBETROL is used for lubrication within the wellbore to reduce the risk of tool sticking, prevent excessive torque, and minimize the possibility of differential sticking. LUBETROL forms a lubricating film between the drill string and the formation inside the well.
LUBETROL is a water-dispersible, non-ionic wetting agent used to prevent clay adhesion. It prevents clays from sticking to the drill bit, eliminates bit balling, and helps extend drill bit life.
Advantages:
LUBETROL reduces the surface tension of the drilling mud, enabling rapid transport of cuttings from hard shale formations.
By forming a coating on the drill string surface, it minimizes the likelihood of the string sticking to the wellbore wall, reduces wear on the drill string and downhole equipment, and increases overall drilling efficiency.
